“No.” Faced with Nathan’s request, Kendall refused without a second thought. If she were going to Queensland for a vacation this time, it wouldn’t matter if she brought Nathan along. But she was going on official business, and it might involve danger, so it wasn’t suitable for a companion. Hearing Kendall’s refusal, Nathan’s mood sank. He lowered his eyes, thinking about something unknown. Kendall returned to her seat and tapped the table, signaling him to hurry and eat breakfast. “Eat up.
